Dad at work

Here's the new dad at work on the baby blog. We are still working on those new ultrasound pictures for ya'll! The baby looks to have amazingly long arms! I can't wait to share!

Nursery Takes Shape

Boy! what a job! Here's a picture of our nursery slowly being put together. Chris designed the color scheme as a surprise, and several of my girlfriends helped him paint one Saturday while I was out of the house. It is certainly such a great blessing to have this wonderful gift of time from all of their hearts! I know I will be spending ALOT of time between those 4 walls, and they already bring such a smile to my face! I have been pacing myself taking all of the goodies we had for Harrison out of the closet and organizing. Hopefully, it will not look this junky for long!

21 Weeks

I started my Progesterone (a hormone) shot this week. Everything seems to be the same, except for I get REALLY HOT! (This may be what makes me soooo thirsty all of the time) I still take my 2 daily shots of Heparin to thin my blood. Those are easy needles compared to the new shot! I have to go in to the Doctor's once weekly to have it done. I am also proud to announce that i am now feeling some definite kicks and movement from the baby! He/she is very active around 2:15 am, noon and about 7 pm...

Here's a side view of all the "progress" for all of you out-of-towners! The baby's heartbeat this week was 148. That is significantly lower than the others, all in the 160's. Usually, they say 150's & under for a boy, over for a girl...so you tell me? what do ya think?

Here's what is happening this week with the baby:The baby now weighs 10 1/2 ounces and is about 7.2 inches long. It is about the size of a large banana! The baby begins to swallow amniotic fluid to help its digestive system mature. All of the other organ systems slow their growth this week and begin to mature as well.

19 weeks!

Well...almost 20 weeks to be exact...

Here's what is happening with our baby this week:
Crown-to-rump length is 5.2 to 6 inches by this week. The baby weighs about 7 ounces!

I have felt no major kicking yet, only a few flutters! This picture was me on our way to our first high-risk appointment in Pensacola. You can see i'm starting to get big! Everything seemed to be going great with baby!
