Reagan Rogers Long

Reagan made her debut on December 17th around 2:30 in the afternoon. She was very beautiful at 5 pounds, 7 ozs. She was a very stellar 18 inches long! She remained very critical and was called as the newest angel on December 19th. She was burried yesterday next to big brother Harrison. Thank you to all for your love and support. In lieu of flowers we ask that you make a donation to Reagan's memorium at USA Women and Children's Hospital. Any donations via that avenue are set to go to the NICU, to help the smallest angels.

We love you all!

Riley's New Pillow

So the cat it seems has enjoyed my bed rest more than I have! He has it all figured out that I am now one giant pillow for him to lay on. I do think he knows SOMETHING is in there because he is not wanting to leave my belly alone these days. He has even started to take naps on the full-sized bed in the nursery. We may have a problem on our hands, but for now the company is nice.

Hawthorne Place Christmas

Christmas at Hawthorne Place is turning out to be wonderful. This is our first time to decorate our new house! We decided to put the tree off the den so that we can enjoy it better. It smells wonderful! I am really glad to have it up since I was put on bed rest Friday! 5 weeks of laying on the couch!!! At least I have this beautiful tree to keep me company. Chris bought me a white froo-froo tree to put all my special angel ornaments on. It's so fun! He also placed the wreaths on the windows and added spotlights. I just love it and wish we could leave it up allll year long! But i don't want to be one of THOSE neighbors! Merry Christmas to you all!

Tori's 30th Bday

For my 30th Birthday party, we had friends over to watch the Iron Bowl. Chris got me a wonderful Cakes By Judi (my favorite!)...We also added to our collection a Big Al and Aubie 8 ft. inflatable this year for the front door. We created quite a stir in the neighborhood! A good time was had by all as we enjoyed chili and a fire into the night!

Christmas on the River 2005

Christmas on Dog River was much milder this year, which made it more enjoyable for all! We took my in-laws boat, Sun Ur Buns, and met up with friends on their boat. Gabby and Reed had a fabulous time, as you can tell from the pictures. They loved their silly winter hats! Baby Long will be sure to have a silly hat too, next year!

THE NURSERY is ALMOST READY

The nursery is taking shape. We only have a few more things to hang. The diapers are ready to be opened and the bed is ready for a sleepover! We want to hang the new little one's name over the full sized bed, so that wall will have to stay bare until after we come home... Chris worked really hard on getting the shelves hung, and they were even straight on the first try!

Dad at work

Here's the new dad at work on the baby blog. We are still working on those new ultrasound pictures for ya'll! The baby looks to have amazingly long arms! I can't wait to share!

Nursery Takes Shape

Boy! what a job! Here's a picture of our nursery slowly being put together. Chris designed the color scheme as a surprise, and several of my girlfriends helped him paint one Saturday while I was out of the house. It is certainly such a great blessing to have this wonderful gift of time from all of their hearts! I know I will be spending ALOT of time between those 4 walls, and they already bring such a smile to my face! I have been pacing myself taking all of the goodies we had for Harrison out of the closet and organizing. Hopefully, it will not look this junky for long!

21 Weeks

I started my Progesterone (a hormone) shot this week. Everything seems to be the same, except for I get REALLY HOT! (This may be what makes me soooo thirsty all of the time) I still take my 2 daily shots of Heparin to thin my blood. Those are easy needles compared to the new shot! I have to go in to the Doctor's once weekly to have it done. I am also proud to announce that i am now feeling some definite kicks and movement from the baby! He/she is very active around 2:15 am, noon and about 7 pm...

Here's a side view of all the "progress" for all of you out-of-towners! The baby's heartbeat this week was 148. That is significantly lower than the others, all in the 160's. Usually, they say 150's & under for a boy, over for a girl...so you tell me? what do ya think?

Here's what is happening this week with the baby:The baby now weighs 10 1/2 ounces and is about 7.2 inches long. It is about the size of a large banana! The baby begins to swallow amniotic fluid to help its digestive system mature. All of the other organ systems slow their growth this week and begin to mature as well.

19 weeks!

Well...almost 20 weeks to be exact...

Here's what is happening with our baby this week:
Crown-to-rump length is 5.2 to 6 inches by this week. The baby weighs about 7 ounces!

I have felt no major kicking yet, only a few flutters! This picture was me on our way to our first high-risk appointment in Pensacola. You can see i'm starting to get big! Everything seemed to be going great with baby!
